Crunch Release Left Wing Everett Sheen

Syracuse, NY (April 4, 2011) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have released left wing Everett Sheen from his amateur tryout contract.

Sheen, 24, did not appear in a game for the Crunch after coming off his senior season at Holy Cross College (AHA), where he appeared in 38 games and ranked first on the team in goals (17) and second in points (35), while serving as team captain.

A native of Lethbridge, Alberta, Sheen appeared in 149 career games with the Crusaders in four seasons from 2007-11, compiling 104 points (52g, 52a) and 82 penalty minutes. Prior to his collegiate career, the 6-foot, 205-pound forward spent four seasons in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) with Crowsnest Pass, Canmore, Drumheller and Okotoks.

The Crunch finish off their home schedule with a pair of games against Norfolk on Thursday, April 7 and Saturday, April 9 at 7:30 p.m. at The Oncenter War Memorial Arena.
