Coyotes Recall Yandle From San Antonio

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled defenseman Keith Yandle from the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Yandle, 21, has recorded 13 points (1 goal, 12 assists) and 55 penalty minutes (PIM) in 26 games with San Antonio this season. He currently ranks second among Rampage defensemen in points and assists.

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Yandle collected two assists and eight PIM in seven games for the Coyotes last season. He also appeared in 69 games for San Antonio, recording 33 points (6g, 27a) and 97 PIM to lead all Rampage defensemen in points and assists while sharing the team-lead in goals by a defenseman. Yandle also represented San Antonio in the 2007 AHL All-Star Game.

A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Yandle was drafted by the Coyotes in the fourth round (105th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
