HARTFORD, December 10, 2007: The American Hockey League today named Hartford Wolf Pack left-wing Nigel Dawes the Rbk AHL Player of the Week for the week ending December 9th. Dawes totaled three goals and five assists for eight points in the Wolf Pack's three games on the week, as the Pack ran their streak of games with at least a standings point to eight straight (7-0-0-1).

Dawes bagged the game-winning goal and added an assist in the Wolf Pack's 3-1 home victory over Lowell on Friday night, and then exploded for a record-setting outing Saturday evening in Worcester. The third-year pro touched up the Sharks for two goals and four assists for six points in a 7-1 Pack win, the first regular-season six-point game turned in by an individual in Wolf Pack history. That also marked Dawes' third four-point-or-better game in his last eight AHL contests (8-11-19). Despite playing in only 12 of the Wolf Pack's 27 games on the season, Dawes is tied for the team lead in assists, and ranks third on the team in points and goals, with 9-15-24. He has also suited up for 16 games with the parent New York Rangers, recording four goals and an assist for five points.

The Wolf Pack return to action on home ice this Wednesday night, December 12th at the Hartford Civic Center against the Houston Aeros (7:00). They also play at home on Saturday evening, hosting the Manchester Monarchs in a 7:00 game.
