
Bulldogs Hit The Road For Four Games This Week

The Hamilton Bulldogs (American Hockey League affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens) will play four road games this week, kicking off a season-long six-game road trip. First, the Bulldogs will face-off against the Peoria Rivermen (American Hockey League affiliate of the St. Louis Blues) at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11th at Carver Arena. Hamilton will then travel to Grand Rapids to battle the Griffins (American Hockey League Affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings) at 7:00 p.m. twice on Wednesday, December 12th and Friday, December 14th at Van Andel Arena. The 'Dogs then round out the week visiting another divisional foe on Saturday, December 15th, when they square off against the Syracuse Crunch (American Hockey League Affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets) at the Onondaga County War Memorial at Oncenter at 7:30 p.m.
Last week, Hamilton posted a 1-1-0-0 record in two home games at Copps Coliseum. On Friday, December 7th, the Bulldogs dropped the visiting Binghamton Senators by a score of 5-1 before being edged 2-1 by the Milwaukee Admirals on Saturday, December 8th on "Stuffed Toy Toss Night". There were 2,184 stuffed toys tossed onto the ice immediately following Marvin Degon's goal in the second period. All of the stuffed animals collected will be donated to local not-for-profit groups in the Hamilton area and will be distributed to families in need for Christmas.
