Countdown to Face-off Kalamazoo Wings Vs Muskegon Fury Wings Stadium Kalamazoo, MI Wednesday, February 26, 2003 7:00 PM

Game Preview For the tenth and final time during the regular season the K-Wings will play their inter-state rivals the Muskegon Fury. Kalamazoo trails the season series with a record of 1-6-2. Dating back to last season, the K-Wings have dropped their last 8 appearances against Muskegon at Wings Stadium.

With 16 games remaining in the regular season, Kalamazoo enters the contest just 4 games behind Flint and 3 ½ games behind Rockford for the final playoff spot in the UHL. With changes in the line-up the K-Wings hope to step up their game and remain in the running for a playoff spot. Kalamazoo finds themselves in a must win situation and will have to play aggressive and near flawless hockey tonight to be victorious over the top team in the Western Conference.

Muskegon enters the game atop of the Western Conference. After a slow start to the season, the defending Colonial Cup Champions seem have regained their championship form, and they now seem to have their eyes focused on defending their title. Before the Fury can even think about hoisting the Colonial Cup they first have to survive the regular season. Muskegon is just one point ahead of Quad City and two points ahead of Missouri for the top spot in the Western Conference.
