Cougars Select Forward Mitchell Lipon in Seventh Round at 2011 WHL Bantam Draft

PRINCE GEORGE, BC - The Prince George Cougars are proud to announce the selection of two forwards in the eighth round of the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft.

With the first pick of the eighth round, 155th overall, the Cougars took centre Tyler Busch of Lloydminster, AB. The 5'11", 130 pounder led the Lloydminster Heat in scoring during the 2010-11 Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League season. Busch, the Heat Captain, had 15 goals and 35 assists for 50 points in 32 games and also compiled 70 penalty minutes.

The Cougars also selected 164th overall and used that pick to take right winger Matt Jones of Peoria, Arizona. Jones, who stands 5'10" and weighs 168 pounds, posted 10 goals and 21 assists for 31 points in 33 games for the Team Arizona AAA U16 squad.
