May 5, 2011 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Saskatoon Blades News Release

The Blades have selected forward Nick Gomerich 118th overall in the sixth round, a pick that was acquired from the Prince Albert Raiders in a trade for Brendon Wall and Tyler Yaworski.

"Nick is a player who has good puck skills and goes to the tough areas of the ice. He is a very good skater and works extremely hard," commented Blades' Assistant General Manager Jarrod Brodsky. "We have watched him very closely at the BC Provincials in Abbottsford and the BC Cup in Kamloops."

The 5'11, 165 lbs right-winger is from Nanaimo, BC where he plays for the Bantam AAA team

The Saskatoon Blades are proud to welcome Nick and his family to the organization.
