
Columbus Blue Jackets Assign Center Kyle Wilson to Springfield Falcons

COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned center Kyle Wilson to the Springfield Falcons, Columbus' American Hockey League affiliate, club Executive Vice President and General Manager Scott Howson announced today.
Wilson, 26, has collected four goals and seven assists for 11 points and 12 penalty minutes in 32 games with the Blue Jackets this season. In addition, he has tallied 11-11-22 and two penalty minutes in 20 games with Springfield. Signed as a free agent by Columbus on July 2, 2010, he joined the club after spending the past three seasons with the Washington Capitals organization. In 2009-10, he tallied 0-2-2 in two games with the Capitals and added 24-29-53, 23 penalty minutes and was +17 in 77 games with the AHL's Hershey Bears. He added 6-6-12 in 21 playoff games to help the Bears capture their second-straight Calder Cup Championship.
Minnesota's 12th pick, 272nd overall, in the 2004 Entry Draft, Wilson has registered 118-131-249, 110 penalty minutes and a cumulative plus/minus rating of +49 in 318 career AHL games. He has added 16-25-41 and 16 penalty minutes in 67 Calder Cup playoff games. Prior to his professional career, he tallied 46-55-101 and 72 penalty minutes in 139 games with Colgate of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference from 2002-2006.
