
Chiefs Announce Plans for Father's-Day Weekend

The Syracuse Chiefs are pleased to announce an exciting schedule of events on Father's Day weekend, from Friday, June 17th through Sunday, June 19th, as the Chiefs take on the Columbus Clippers.
On Friday, June 17th, the Chiefs open a series with the Clippers at 7:05 p.m. on Team Photo Giveaway Night sponsored by Burdick Mitsubishi. The first 1,500 fans through the gates will receive a 2016 Chiefs Team Photo. Before the game, fans can Meet the Chiefs. Gates will open early at 5:30 p.m., and Chiefs players will sign autographs on the concourse from 5:45 to 6:15 p.m. Fans can enjoy a Fireworks Friday with a spectacular pyrotechnics display, courtesy of 93Q.
Saturday night, also at 7:05 p.m., is a Super Saturday and Prostate Awarenes Night, sponsored by Upstate Urology. The first 1,000 fans ages 12 and up will receive a replica alternate (pinstriped) Chiefs jersey, courtesy of Upstate Urology.
The Chiefs will also host their annual Girl Scout Night on Saturday. Local girl scouts can participate in an on-field parade before the game. Girl scouts, who will be recognized during the game, will also stay after the evening's game for an on-field sleepover and watch a movie on the stadium video board. Girl Scout groups can register in advance for the the on-field sleepover by emailing groups@syracusechiefs.com. Another fireworks spectacular will follow the game.
Fewer than 50 Super Packs are available for Saturday's game as of this release. A Super Pack, an $80 value for only $55, gives fans four reserved box tickets, a vouchers including four Hofmann hot dogs, four Coca-Cola soft drinks and a tub of popcorn, and a merchandise coupon. Super Packs can be purchased at syracusechiefs.com, by calling 474-7833 or in person at the NBT Bank Stadium ticket office.
Sunday afternoon, the Chiefs will celebrate Father's Day with a 1:05 series finale against Columbus. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a Trea Turner garden gnome, courtesy of BlueRock Energy. From now until Tuesday, June 14th, fans can hunt for gnomes which are hidden throughout Syracuse to win a free gnome and $100 prize from BlueRock Energy. The winners of the gnome hunt will be honored on the field before the game and will throw out ceremonial first pitches. Daily hints and contest information can be found at gnomehunt.newbusiness.pages.com or at the Syracuse Chiefs' Facebook page.
Father's Day also marks a Family Sunday at NBT Bank Stadium. Tickets for kids 12 and under will be $2, and kids can run the bases after the game. In addition, families will be able to play catch on the field after the game.
"This is one of our favorite weekends of the year", said Chiefs general manager Jason Smorol. "With fireworks, giveaways and great baseball, we have an amazing family weekend in store. And there's no better way to top it all off then to play catch on the Chiefs' beautiful field!"
