Durham Bulls News Release
DURHAM, NC - The Durham Bulls host a brief two-game homestand against the Norfolk Tides beginning on Wednesday, June 8. The always-popular Bark in the Park, the first-ever DURM Night and discounted hot dogs for both games headline the two-game set.
On Wednesday, June 8 the Bulls and Tides square off at 7:05 p.m. That night's contest is Bark in the Park, in which fans can bring their dogs to the DBAP. Human tickets for that night's game are $7.99 plus tax, and tickets for canines are priced at $5 plus tax. All proceeds from canine tickets will be donated to Second Chance Pet Adoptions. While enjoying the game with their dogs, fans will also be treated to 75 cent hot dogs all game long, as Carolina Packers celebrates its 75th anniversary.
Additionally, Wednesday's game will feature an appearance by the Olate Dogs, a dog trick act that won America's Got Talent in 2012. The group, which has appeared on multiple morning show programs and NBA halftime shows, features acts in which the dogs jump rope and ride scooters, among other antics.
The short series with the Baltimore Orioles' top affiliate wraps on Thursday, June 9 at 7:05 p.m. That night's game is DURM Night, in which the Bulls will celebrate the City of Durham by wearing specialty uniforms designed by Durham-based clothing company RUNAWAY. The DURM Night game-worn jerseys will be available in an online auction, and all proceeds will benefit the Durham Bulls Youth Athletic League. Following the game will be a postgame party at Jackie's Landing featuring a DJ, cornhole, foosball and more, as the bar on the upper first base concourse will remain open from the end of the game through 11:30 p.m.
Thursday's game, presented by Northwestern Mutual, will also feature $1 Concessions, as Bright Leaf hot dogs, soda and popcorn are just a buck all game long. In addition, in a partnership between Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation and Northwestern Mutual, a portion of proceeds from lemonade sales during Thursday's game will go to the foundation.
The Durham Bulls return to the DBAP for a two-game homestand on Wednesday, June 9. Single-game tickets and group ticket packages are available now. For more information visit durhambulls.com, the Frontier Communications Ticket Office, or call 919.956.BULL.
