Checkers Goalie Daigneault Called Up To Hartford

Charlotte, N.C- The Checkers announced today that goaltender Maxime Daigneault has been reassigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey.

Daigneault, 6-feet-3, 205 pounds, signed an AHL contract with the Wolf Pack this season and was assigned to the Checkers where he has played in seven games going 1-6-0 with a 3.70 goals-against average and an 88.8% save percentage. He split last season between the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) and the Cincinnati Cyclones, where he won the Kelly Cup Championship. He becomes the first goaltender called up to the American League from the Checkers this season.

The Checkers are playing their 16th season of play as a member of the ECHL. The next home game will take place on Nov. 23rd against the Gwinnett Gladiators at 4 p.m. In the team's 15-year history, the Checkers have made the playoffs 11 times including four consecutive playoff appearances to date.
