
Chad Green Leads Shutout of Mud Hens

Moosic, Pa. - The SWB RailRiders (Triple-A/ New York Yankees) earned their league-best 12th shutout with a 1-0 victory over the Toledo Mud Hens. The RailRiders (43-30) have won four straight overall and five-of-six against the Mud Hens (30-41).
Chad Green (5-6) weaved together seven two-hit innings and struck out nine to earn the victory. The right-hander retired 21-of-22 faced, including the final 13 straight. Conor Mullee struck out two in a perfect ninth to notch his fifth save.
The game's only tally came in the bottom of the seventh courtesy of a home run to left by Tyler Austin. The shot off reliever Preston Guilmet (2-1) was his third with SWB.
Mark Teixeira continued his rehab assignment as designated hitter. The New York Yankees' first baseman finished 1-for-2 with a single and a walk.
The RailRiders look for the series sweep of the Toledo Mud Hens at PNC Field on Thursday, June 23. New York Yankees' first baseman Mark Teixeira will make his third rehab start with SWB and it's Thirsty Thursday.
