
3-Run 4th Lifts Pigs to 3-2 Win

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (41-31) won their second straight over the Norfolk Tides (26-46) with a 3-2 win on Tuesday night at Harbor Park.
Pigs starter Jake Thompson (6-5) gave up two runs on seven hits while walking one and fanning two over eight innings of work. RHP Edubray Ramos (1.0 IP, K) retired the side in order in the ninth to notch his third save of the year.
Norfolk took a 1-0 lead in the second with Trey Mancini's solo shot off of Thompson.
A three-run fourth opened up a 3-1 lead for the IronPigs.as Cedric Hunter (3-3, 2 2B, RBI, R) knocked home a run via an RBI double, Logan Moore plated a run with an RBI groundout and Darnell Sweeney came through with an RBI single.
In the home half of the fourth, the Tides cut the lead to 3-2 when L.J. Hoes drew a leadoff walk, advanced to second on a single, to third on a double play and scored on Mancini's two-out RBI single.
Norfolk starter Andy Oliver (0-1) allowed three runs on four hits while walking three and fanning one in 4.0 IP.
The series continues on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. as RHP Ben Lively (3-0, 2.70) gets the ball for the Pigs against Tides RHP Mike Wright (3-4, 6.12 with BAL).
