Campbell Earns Goaltender Of The Week

WICHITA, KS- Wichita Thunder goaltender Scott Campbell has been named the Oakley CHL Goaltender of the week for February 1st-7th.

Campbell led the Thunder to three road wins last week, going 3-0-0 with a 2.59 goals against average and a.931 save percentage. On Saturday, Campbell stopped 39 of 43 in regulation and overtime before going a perfect five for five to help the Thunder defeat Mississippi in a shootout. It was Campbell's first shootout victory of his career. Campbell currently has a 3.36 goals against average and an.894 save percentage.

The Bloomfield, Ontario native has won four consecutive starts, all on the road, and has made 31 or more saves in all of them. The rookie has appeared in 21 games this season, shattering his college-high of 16 during his junior year at Lake Forest College.

It marks the first league honor for a Thunder player this season. Campbell will receive a free gift from Oakley for earning the award.
