Tulsa Oilers News Release
Home Week: The Tulsa Oilers play three home games this week, including two major weekend fund raisers. The Oilers host the Colorado Eagles Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. The Oilers then visit the Allen Americans Thursday at 7:30. On Friday the Oilers will be having a fundraising evening for cancersucks.com as they host Mississippi RiverKings and on Saturday against the Amarillo Gorillas will have their second Pink In The Rink Night for the benefit of the Komen Tulsa Foundation. Friday and Saturday's games both start at 7:35 p.m. at the BOK Center. All games can be heard via the internet at www.tulsaoilers.com and viewed at CHL TV.
MO Sweep: After a 4-2 loss in a make up game to Wichita the Oilers got back into playoff position with a weekend sweep at Missouri. They trailed the Mavericks 2-0 going into the third period on Friday and rallied for a 3-2 shootout win. On Saturday, the Oilers held on for a 4-2 win.
Brother Act: Brothers Troy and Jake Riddle had both Oiler goals in the game against Wichita. Troy also scored against Missouri on Friday and had an assist on Saturday, giving him three points in three games last week.
Clutch Caig: T.J. Caig scored the Oilers tying goal Friday night with 1:01 left to play. It was the second time this season he has scored late in the third period at Missouri. On November 20th he scored the winning goal in an Oilers 5-4 triumph with 43 seconds left.
Roster moves: The Oilers waived goaltender Kevin Armstrong and left wing Matt Radoslovich. They activated goaltender Marty Magers and defenseman Tyler Fleck from leave of absence.
