Utah Grizzlies News Release

West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jason Christie has announced that forward Scott Burt has been recalled to the Grizzlies and Islanders AHL affiliate in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Burt, the reigning ECHL player of the week, departs Utah with five goals and six assists in eight games. He is currently the Grizzlies leading scorer and has a team-high six-game scoring streak (five goals, five assists) working at the time of his exit.

A veteran of 518 professional games, Burt makes his first trip to the AHL in his 11th professional season.

He will be with the Sound Tigers when they host Worcester this morning at the Arena at Harbor Yard.

Burt is the second Utah player to be called eastward in the last week. Ryan Kinasewich, the team's all-time leading ECHL scorer, was promoted Saturday and scored Bridgeport's game-winning goal Sunday in their 3-0 win over Norfolk.

Utah returns to the E-Center Friday, Saturday and Monday hosting Victoria. All Utah home games start at 7:05 p.m.
