Paiement Gets AHL Callup

BEAUMONT, TX-Texas Wildcatters Head Coach and VP of Hockey Operations Malcolm Cameron announced Wednesday that defenseman Jonathan Paiement has been called up to AHL Rockford.
Paiement, 22, has been a stalwart on the Wildcatters blue line since beginning his pro career in Texas last season. He played in all 72 regular season games, leading Texas defensemen with 43 points (6-37=43), and was a nominee for the PHPA 2006-07 Ironman Award.
Through seven games this season the Montreal native has one goal, five assists, and leads the team with a +9 rating.
Paiement was a round 8 selection (#247 overall) by the New York Rangers in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
