Mississippi Sea Wolves News Release
BILOXI, MS - The Mississippi Sea Wolves announced on Wednesday that the team has partnered with the Memorial Hospital Foundation for the first ever "Pink In The Rink" game, when the Sea Wolves face off against the Pensacola Ice Pilots on Saturday, November 17 at 7:05 p.m.
As part of the event, the team will wear special pink jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game. The proceeds from the jersey auction will go to the Memorial Hospital foundation, which will use the funds to help local patients with breast cancer diagnostic imaging who meet eligibility criteria.
"We are truly thankful to the Sea Wolves for partnering with us for this special event," said Memorial Hospital Foundation president David Estorge. "We look forward to a great night of Hockey and having the funds available to assist those who cannot afford but need breast imaging."
The first 2,000 fans through the gates will receive commemorative pink hockey pucks courtesy of CCI Open MRI, and fans will also have the opportunity to purchase "Pink In The Rink" t-shirts, with the proceeds also going to the Memorial Hospital Foundation.
"The entire Sea Wolves organization is excited for the opportunity to be able to raise funds for the Memorial Hospital Foundation," stated Sea Wolves president Bill Yates. "We're especially glad that the funds we raise will go directly to helping people right here on the Gulf Coast who require breast cancer diagnostic imaging but cannot afford it."
