Durham Bulls News Release
DURHAM, NC - The Durham Bulls open their final homestand of the 2015 season on Saturday, September 5, as the Norfolk Tides visit for a three-game series.
When the team returns to Durham Bulls Athletic Park to close out the stadium's 20th Anniversary season, they will do so with an opportunity to again break the franchise's single-season paid attendance record which was just set last year. Through last night's game, the DBAP has welcomed a cumulative paid attendance of 521,291 in 2015. That total is just 11,742 shy of the year-old record of 533,033, with tonight's current homestand finale and this holiday weekend's three-game set still to play. The Bulls have already established a new single-game attendance high (11,871 on July 4) and a record single-season sellout total (14) this year.
The last homestand of 2015 gets underway on Saturday, September 5 with a 6:35 p.m. game presented by bioMerieux, Inc. The final fireworks show of the season, presented by JT's Landscaping, follows the series opener with Norfolk.
Sunday's 5:05 p.m. game with the top affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles is presented by ServPro of South Durham & Orange County. Kids Run the Bases one last time on September 6 thanks to Nature's Twist.
The 2015 season finale takes place on Monday, September 7 with a special Labor Day matinee beginning at 1:05 p.m. Monday is the last Tijuana Flats Ticket Takeover of the year, where Public Safety Personnel (professionals dedicated to law enforcement, fire prevention, fire suppression, and pre-hospital emergency medical services) receive 50% off Terrace View tickets.
