Boston recalls Walter from Providence

Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins, member of the American Hockey League, announced that the Boston Bruins have recalled from loan center Ben Walter. Walter is in his rookie season with the Bruins.

In 43 games this season for Providence, Walter has 29 points (11g, 18a) with 12 PIM. In five games with Boston, Walter has a +2 rating and two PIM. The Vancouver, British Columbia native spent the past three seasons at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell where he recorded 90 points (49g, 41a) and 58 PIM in 107 games. Last season he led Hockey East in goals (26), including three hat tricks and tied for ninth in points (39). Walter was the Bruins' fifth pick, 160th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

The P-Bruins return home to the Dunkin' Donuts Center Friday, March 10 to face the Lowell Lock Monsters at 7:05 p.m. The P-Bruins are also home at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Sunday, March 12 versus Hershey at 4:05 p.m. The first 2,500 fans will receive clappers courtesy of The Washington Trust Company.
