Fernholm reassigned to Wheeling

Wilkes-Barre - Defenseman Daniel Fernholm has been reassigned from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL), it was announced on Monday.

Fernholm, 22, has recorded seven points (1+6) and 10 penalty minutes in 27 games with the Penguins this season. He has also picked up four points (2+2) and 18 penalty minutes in 19 games during a previous stint with Wheeling this season.

The 6-4, 218 pound native of Stockholm, Sweden, was selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the fourth round (101st overall) of the 2002 Entry Draft.
