
Bulldogs begin three-game homestand

After earning five wins on their seven-game road trip, the Hamilton Bulldogs (28-34-0-3) begin a three-game homestand this week by playing two games. Hamilton will face the Manitoba Moose on Friday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m. before battling the Philadelphia Phantoms on Saturday, March 11 at 7:00 p.m. Friday's game can be seen live on Hamilton's Cable 14.
Before beginning their stretch of three games in four days, the Bulldogs will hold their 2nd Annual Pizza Pizza Skills Competition on Tuesday, March 7 beginning at 6:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Haldimand County Caledonia Centre. This year's events will include Hardest Shot, Fastest Skater, Rapid Fire, and other events to test the skill and endurance of the âDogs players. Tickets for this event are just $5 and are available at the Haldimand County Caledonia Centre and at the Hamilton Bulldogs Office during business hours. All proceeds will go towards Caledonia Minor Hockey. Cable 14 will air the event on the following dates: Friday, March 17 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 19 at 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, March 4 - C Chris Higgins scored twice while RW Michael Ryder (1g-1a), C Mike Ribeiro (1g), RW Alexander Perezhogin (1a) and C Tomas Plekanec (1a) also found the scoresheet in Montreal's 6-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning. G Cristobal Huet made 29 saves to earn the victory. - Stars RW Antti Miettinen and D Trevor Daley each recorded an assist as Dallas defeated the Colorado Avalanche 5-3. - Maple Leafs LW Chad Kilger earned an assist in Toronto's 4-2 loss to the Ottawa Sentators.
