WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Pittsburgh Penguins have returned Erik Christensen to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on loan, it was announce Monday by General Manager Craig Patrick.

Christensen, 22, has recorded 13 points (6+7) in 33 games with Pittsburgh this season. The Edmonton native was the NHL Penguins' third round choice (69th overall) in the 2002 Entry Draft.

The 6-1, 195 pound center has also recorded 37 points (19+18) in 29 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season. He ranks first on the team in goals, second in points, tied for fourth in assists and tied for sixth in plus-minus (plus-11).

Christensen has appeared in 106 games during the past two seasons with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, recording 64 points (33+31).
