Green Bay Rockers News Release
MADISON, Wis. - The Green Bay Booyah fell on Sunday afternoon to the Madison Mallards at Warner Park by a final score of 7-1.
The Booyah bats were, for the most part, silenced on Sunday. Although they racked up seven hits in the contest, the Booyah weren't able to get a rally going all afternoon. The lone run of the ballgame for Green Bay came in the ninth inning via a Tristin Garcia (Alcorn State) double that scored Max Wagner (Clemson). Johnny Hipsman (Richmond) was the lone player to collect more than one hit as he went 2-for-3.
Ben Hart (Dixie State) struggled in the start, going 3.2 innings pitched, allowing six runs, four earned while striking out one and walking three. Jacob Riordan (Georgia State) pitched well in relief, going 3.1 innings, allowing just two hits, while walking one and punching out another.
The Booyah will begin a two-game series on Monday as the Kokomo Jackrabbits roll into Green Bay. Evan Estridge (Clemson) will get the start. He has made one appearance, pitching three innings, allowing two hits, one run, three walks while striking out two.
All fans in attendance on Monday can enjoy free hot dog Mondays presented by Festival Foods. Fans can enjoy a free hot dog for the first 90 minutes after gates open, limit two hot dogs per person, per trip.
