Bissonnette Recalled to Penguins

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned defenseman Paul Bissonnette from the Wheeling Nailers to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced on Friday.

Bissonnette, 21, appeared in 13 games with the Nailers to begin the season, recording six points (1+5) and 20 penalty minutes.

The 6-3, 200 pound defenseman split last season between Wheeling and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, recording 10 points (3+7) in 14 games with the Nailers and six points (1+5) in 55 games with the Penguins.

Bissonnette was drafted by Pittsburgh in the fourth round (121st overall) in the 2003 Entry Draft.

The Nailers face the Trenton Titans tonight in New Jersey before heading home to face the Reading Royals on Friday night at 7:30 pm.
