Boisclair's Hat Trick, Rowe's Four Assists Lead Tribe To Victory

Johnstown, Pa (November 24, 2006) - The Johnstown Chiefs extended their winning streak to three games with a 7-5 win over the Reading Royals at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pa.

Doug Andress opened the scoring with the Chiefs on the power-play at the 3:24 mark of the first period, beating Yutaka Fukufuji with a shot from the top of the slot. Greg Hogeboom would even the score at 10:07 of the first, putting a shot past Gerald Coleman.

For the rest of the period, it was all Johnstown, as Zbynek Hrdel sprung a pass to Radek Smolenak, sending him on a breakaway where he made a move to the backhand to beat Fukufuji. Andre Deveaux would score just over a mintue and a half later, picking up the rebound of a shot by Maxime Boisclair at 13:26. Boisclair would score his first of the game on the rebound of P.J. Atherton's shot at the 19:00 mark as the Chiefs carried a 4-1 lead into the locker room.

Boisclair scored his second of the game at the 13:19 of the second period, putting a wrist shot by Fukufuji. P.J. Atherton scored his first of the season at 16:07 on a blast from the point, which would stand as the game-winner and chase Fukufuji from the net.

Reading would claw back into the game with goals from Jason Becker and Arpad Mihaly before Maxime Boisclair completed his first professional hat-trick at 16:11 of the third. Reading would add two more goals from Doug Christiansen and Chris Bala with Reading backup goaltender Brian Gratz off in favor of the extra attacker, but the Chiefs would hold on to secure the victory.
