Condors Trade Danny Stewart to Utah
November 24, 2006 - ECHL (ECHL)
Bakersfield Condors News Release
Bakersfield, Calif - The Bakersfield Condors Professional Hockey Club today announced that Danny Stewart has been traded to the Utah Grizzlies for future considerations.
The 5-foot 11-inch, 188-pound, left wing from Charlottetown, PEI, played in two games this season for the Condors recording no goals or assists with 15 PIM. Stewart has spent the majority of this season on injured reserve, after getting hurt just before the Condors season opener on October 20. He was activated from the IR on November 18th.
Stewart's previous playing experience took place in the QMJHL where he played four-years for the Rimouski Oceanic and one-year for the Prince Edward Island Rockets. In 2003 the Montreal Canadian's selected him as pick #123 of the NHL Entry Draft.
The Condors conclude their six-game homestand Saturday against the Alaska Aces, with game-time set for 7:00pm. It will be the 29 Eyewitness News, KERN 1410 AM and Wells Fargo Bank Teddy Bear Toss. All fans are encouraged to bring a teddy bear, or other stuffed animal, to be thrown onto the ice after the Condors score their first goal. The teddy bears will be collected and donated to less-fortunate children through the United Way of Kern County. It will also be a Big Buddies Night, where underprivileged children will be given the opportunity to attend a Condors game for free thanks to local organizations.
On Sunday, the Condors head to Las Vegas to take on the Wranglers for a 5:05pm game. Bakersfield is unbeaten at 3-0-1 on the road this season.
