Moose assign Keefe to Salmon Kings

Victoria, BC- The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that 22-year-old Forward Adam Keefe has been assigned to the Salmon Kings by the Moose, and is expected to play tonight in Utah versus the Grizzlies.

Keefe, a native of Kingston, ON has yet to appear in a game with the Moose this season after suffering an injury during training camp.

The 5-foot-10, 195-lb winger played 31 games with the Moose last year, earned five points (3 goals, 2 assists), and was the team's penalty minute leader with 158 penalty minutes. In 28 games with the Toledo Storm of the ECHL in 2005-06, Keefe tallied 21 points (10 goals, 11 assists) and 174 penalty minutes. In 11 playoff games with the Storm, he scored two goals and accumulated 50 penalty minutes.

The Salmon Kings play a two-game series versus the Grizzlies tonight and tomorrow night, before returning home to battle the Alaska Aces for a three-game series starting Nov 29 at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.
