Today's Game

Tonight, the Bisons take on the Syracuse Chiefs in the first game of a two-game set at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). The Herd is coming off a three-game sweep at the hands of the Gwinnett Braves. Following tomorrow's game, Buffalo hits the road for seven games in six days at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and Rochester.

vs. the Chiefs

The Bisons are 2-1 against the Chiefs this season. In their first series, June 19-21 in Syracuse, Buffalo won the first two games of the three-game slate. Tonight's matchup is the first of 10 between the Thruway Cup rivals. Rochester (7-5) leads the 2015 Thruway Cup by a half-game over the Bisons (4-3) and 2.5 games over the Chiefs (4-7).

LHP JEFF FRANCIS makes his seventh start of the season for the Herd tonight. Francis earned the win in Buffalo's 2-0 victory at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre last Friday, allowing just four hits and striking out five in 7.0 innings. It was the southpaw's second consecutive scoreless start, as he stretched his shutout streak to 18 IP over three outings.

All-Star Nods

The International League announced today that INF MATT HAGUE and RHP GREGORY INFANTE have been selected to the 2015 IL All-Star Team.

Hague holds an IL-best .340 average, which is 18 points better than any other hitter. He continues to lead the way in hits (96) and on-base pct (.421) as well. Hague is also 2nd in walks (40), tied for 2nd in RBI (48), 3rd in doubles (20), slugging-pct (.461), and 4th in total bases (130).

Infante has made a team-high 30 appearances out of the bullpen and is 1-1 with three saves and a 3.26 ERA in 34.1 innings of work. The righty has held opponents to a .208 average-against, and has allowed just six extra-base hits in 125 at-bats.

Hitting Coach Richie Hebner will remain as the team's manager tonight as Gary Allenson will serve the final day of his Blue Jays-mandated four-day break...RHP BOBBY KORECKY has been activated off the disabled list. The Blue Jays today released INF DARIC BARTON.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (42-38) powered their way to an 11-2 thumping of the Red Sox on Wednesday. Toronto swatted five home runs in the contest, including two from Justin Smoak. The Blue Jays begin a three-game series tonight in Detroit (7:08 p.m.) to open up a 10-game roadtrip.
