Gwinnett Braves Homestand Highlights: July 4-9

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA - The Gwinnett Braves return to Coolray Field to celebrate Independence Day and begin a six-game homestand on Saturday, July 4. The G-Braves will face the Charlotte Knights, Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, from July 4-6 and the Norfolk Tides, Triple-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, from July 7-9.

The homestand opens with a bang on July 4, as the 7:05 p.m. game is followed by a spectacular fireworks display. Gates open early at 5 p.m., and the first 2,000 fans who enter Coolray Field will receive a mini American flag to wave during the game. Additionally, G-Braves' players and coaches will wear special Patriotic Jerseys presented by Republic Services. The jerseys will be available for auction until 9 p.m., and all auction winners will receive their jerseys directly from the players on the field after the game. Proceeds from the jersey auction benefit Operation One Voice, a non-profit organization that assists the families of wounded and fallen Special Operations Forces.

Sunday, July 5 is a 2:05 p.m. game and "Faith and Family Day" at the ballpark. In addition to regular "Sunday Funday" activities such as Pre-Game Catch on the Field and Post-Game Kids Run the Bases, the day includes a post-game concert from Christian band New Method. Sunday is also "Minions Day" presented by Lake Lanier CVB. Fans can enter to win tickets to see the new Minions movie and meet a Minion at the game.

The series with Charlotte concludes Monday, July 6 at 6:35 p.m. with another "$5 Monday," when all seats (excluding the Home Plate Club) are just $5 when purchased online only at GwinnettBraves.com/tickets.

The G-Braves open the series with Norfolk at 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7 with another "Two-for-Tuesday." "Winning Wednesday" follows for a 6:35 p.m. game on Wednesday, July 8, and the homestand ends with "Daycare Day" presented by Belk at 12:05 p.m. on Thursday, July 9.

§ Flag Giveaway - The first 2,000 fans through the gates will receive a mini American flag.

Sunday, July 5

§ SOCOM Para-Commandos Appearance - The U.S. Special Operations Command Parachute Team will perform a freefall parachute demonstration and skydive into Coolray Field before the game.

§ Minions Day - Fans can enter to win tickets to see the new Minions movie and meet a Minion at the game, courtesy of Lake Lanier CVB.

§ Faith and Family Day - Stick around after the game for a concert by Christian band New Method.

§ Pre-Game Catch on the Field - To kick off every Sunday Funday, bring your ball and glove to Coolray Field for a pre-game catch in the outfield! The 20-minute catch starts when the gates open at 1 p.m.

§ Post-Game Kids Run the Bases - Bring the youngsters down and let them loose on the basepaths after the game, courtesy of Belhaven University. Children must be 12 and under to participate.

Monday, July 6
