Today's Game

Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Louisville Bats in the second game of a four-game series at Louisville Slugger Field (7:05 p.m.). The Herd was victories last night with a 4-0 shutout of the Bats. The Bisons are now 2-2 on their current roadtrip that runs through this weekend. On Monday, the Bisons open up a seven-game homestand.

The Bisons are 2-2 against Louisville this season. The Bats won two of three back at Coca-Cola Field, May 1-3. These next three games will be the final regular season contests between these two teams. Buffalo won the season series in 2014 with five wins in eight games.

Felix Doubront

LHP FELIX DOUBRONT takes the ball for the fifth time this season. The southpaw worked a season-best seven innings last Saturday, allowing just two runs while striking out five. It was the first outing in four starts Doubront had allowed earned runs. Opponents are hitting just .182 off the lefty with just three extra-base hits in 77 at-bats.

Matt Hague

INF MATT HAGUE leads all International League position players in votes after the first week of online fan balloting for the Triple-A All-Star Game. Hague leads all IL hitters in hits (70), doubles (17), RBI (35) and on-base pct. (.419). He also ranks 2nd in batting average (.348) and 5th in slugging pct. (.488).

Gregory Infante

RHP GREGORY INFANTE has been nearly untouchable as of late. The reliever has thrown shutout baseball in 10 consecutive games, allowing just eight hits while striking out 10 over 15.0 innings of work. Opponents are hitting just .193 off him this season.

Pitching Staff

Bisons pitchers lead the International League with a 2.70 ERA. The Herd's rotation sports the best two ERA's in the league in LHP RANDY WOLF (1.93) and RHP SCOTT COPELAND (1.97). The bullpen, meanwhile, has a combined 2.45 ERA with only 152 hits in 194.1 innings.

Bisons Bits

INF JONATHAN DIAZ was 3-3 with a triple last night and now has 10 hits in his last 29 at-bats (.345)...The Bisons have left a league-worst 418 men on base...RHP SCOTT COPELAND'S .185 batting average against leads all qualifying IL pitchers.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (25-30) were off on Thursday. Toronto opens up a three-game series with Houston at Rogers Centre tonight at 7:07 p.m. The Blue Jays are 4.5 games back of the Yankees for 1st place in the AL East.
