The contract of Bats RHP Jon Moscot (7-1, 3.15 with LOU) has been purchased by the Cincinnati Reds. Moscot will start tonight at Great American Ball Park against the San Diego Padres in his Major League debut. Moscot's seven wins with Louisville are currently tops in all of Triple-A Baseball.

Also Friday... Bats RHP Pedro Villarreal (1-0, 3.68 with LOU) was recalled by Cincinnati for the third time this season. RHP Layne Somsen (2-0, 2.76 with PEN) was promoted from Double-A Pensacola to Louisville to start tonight's game against the Buffalo Bisons. RHP Jimmy Moran (1-2, 4.22 with Daytona) was promoted from Daytona to Louisville. RHP Jason Marquis (3-4, 6.46 with CIN) was designated for assignment by the Reds.
