CINCINNATI, Ohio - A three goal explosion in the second period for the Reading Royals result in a 5-3 win over the Cincinnati Cyclones on Wednesday night. The Cyclones, shorthanded as a result of a trade earlier in the day with Pensacola, put in a valiant effort that came up short in the decision. Jason Becker and Kevin Saurette each netted a pair of goals for Reading.

The lead opened to 3-1, when center Scott Reynolds slapped home his seventh goal from the left faceoff circle at 16:14, as Jean-Michel Daoust dug the puck out of the left corner on the assist.
