
Wranglers trump Aces, 4-2

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Alaska Aces 4-2 on Tuesday night in front of 4,155 fans at the Orleans Arena. Wranglers forward Aki Seitsonen netted the eventual game-winning goal at 7:57 of the third period. Forwards Marco Peluso and Steve Crampton each had a goal and an assist for Las Vegas in the victory. Wranglers' goalie Kevin Nastiuk made 30 saves for his fifth straight victory. Aces forward Joe Talbot had a goal and an assist for Alaska in the loss. The Wranglers head to Boise, Idaho to start a three-game series with the Idaho Steelheads beginning tomorrow night at Qwest Arena at 6:10pm PST.
In the first period, Alaska jumped ahead 1-0 when Joe Talbot picked up a loose puck in the Wranglers zone and blasted a wrist shot past Wranglers goalie Kevin Nastiuk. Las Vegas bounced right back to tie the game at 1-1 when Marco Peluso scored his 11th goal of the season. Winger Mike Scott gave the Aces a one-goal lead with three-seconds left when he redirected a shot from Patrick Wellar past Nastiuk.
In the second period, Wranglers winger Steve Crampton scored his 14th goal of the season to tie the game at two.
In the third period, Aki Seitsonen hammered home a rebound for the game-winning goal at 7:57 of the period. Wranglers forward Ryan Donally scored his first goal of the season with an empty-net tally at 19:11, sealing the 4-2 victory.
Las Vegas heads to Idaho to play a three-game series starting tomorrow night and continuing on Friday night and Saturday night. Then head to Victoria for a similar three-game series with the Salmon Kings. The Wranglers return home to face the Idaho Steelheads on Tuesday night February 27th at 7:05pm.
