Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

The Isotopes (5-6) could not put their losing streak to an end on Sunday, falling to the Salt Lake Bees (7-4) 7-2 at Isotopes Park. Albuquerque has now lost four games in a row and have dropped to two games out of first place.

The Bees jumped on Isotopes' starter David Holmberg, putting up six runs in the top of the first inning. The deficit proved too much for the Isotopes to overcome as Albuquerque plated just two runs on Sunday, the lowest output of the season for the club.

Noel Cuevas' bat remained hot, finishing the day 2-for-3 with a home run. The 26-year-old has now hit safely in 10 of 11 games for the Isotopes.

Albuquerque and Salt Lake wrap up their four-game series with a School Day Matinee on Monday. Looking to avoid the sweep, right-hander Matt Flemer will take the hill for the Isotopes. He will be opposed Bees' righty Parker Bridwell. First pitch from Isotopes Park is set for 11:05 a.m.
