
Offensive Woes Continue for Reno

Fresno, CA - The Reno Aces dropped their sixth consecutive game to the Fresno Grizzlies Sunday afternoon, by a score of 5-0. Despite a fantastic start by Nevada alum Braden Shipley. The right-hander went 6.0 innings and allowed no runs on three hits. Reno was held in check offensively, tallying just one hit by Jack Reinheimer in the 4th inning.
Fresno starter Kent Emanuel was terrific, allowing one hit in six innings of work. The Grizzlies got to the Aces bullpen for the second day in a row, tagging right-handed Joey Krehbiel for four runs in a third of an inning. Reno is 0-5 in day games this season and 4-7 overall. Taylor Clarke will get the nod for Greg Gross in the final game of the road trip tomorrow. The Aces return to Greater Nevada Field Tuesday night and will host Northern Nevada's first Pay-what-you-want Night. Proceeds will benefit the JustIn Hope Foundation, which focuses on autism awareness.

Night Owls: The Aces are 0-5 in day games in 2018. In 2017, Reno went 19-10 in day contests compared to 39-33 in evening games. Their last day-time victory came on the last day of the 2017 season, defeating the Albuquerque Isotopes by a score of 13-1.
Pay-What-You-Want Night: The Reno Aces and Greater Nevada Field will celebrate their 10th season in Downtown Reno on April 17th. When the team returns home, Greater Nevada Field will open its doors to Northern Nevada and fans are welcome to pay whatever they would like to sit wherever they would like. Proceeds from the event will benefit the JUSTin HOPEFoundation. JUSTin HOPE supports those in Northern Nevada affected by Autism and other neurodevelopment disorders by providing support and/or opportunities.
Nevada Grit: RHP Braden Shipley had his best start of the season this afternoon in Fresno. The former University of Nevada first round pick allowed just three hits in 6.0 innings of work. The Arizona Diamondbacks put starter Taijuan Walker on the 10-day DL with right forearm inflammation today. Walker was slated to pitch next Friday, the same day Braden Shipley is scheduled to start for Reno.
