From the Notes

Fowler's Fortune: Outfielder Dustin Fowler continued his hot start to the season last night with another two-hit game. Fowler has a team-high four multi-hit games and is also tied for the team lead with a pair of multi-RBI games. Through eight games, he's hitting .303 (10-for-33) with 5 RBI, 4 runs and 3 stolen bases.

Six String Starter: Last night marked the first time a Sounds starter went at least six innings in 2018. Despite the first six inning start of the season, Jokisch was tagged with the loss after allowing five runs. James Naile and Trevor Cahill had the previous high with a pair of 5.2 inning outings.

You're a Sellout: Last night's crowd of 10,481 was the first sellout of the season. In 2017, the Sounds had 22 sellouts on the way to leading the Pacific Coast League in per-game attendance. The sellout last night was the 56th in First Tennessee Park history.

Tried to Make Me Go to Rehab: Josh Phegley became the third Oakland Athletics player to join the Sounds on a Major League rehab assignment this year. Phegley went 2-for-4 as the designated hitter last night. He joins Ryan Dull and Renato Núñez as players who have appeared on rehab in 2018. The Sounds had 15 players appear on rehab assignment in 2017.
