
Bears Announce Opponents For 2007-08 Season

HERSHEY - The 2006 Calder Cup Champion HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with the American Hockey League the opponents that will make up the 2007-08 schedule of games. The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.
After not playing Rochester in 2006-07 for the first time in 50 years, the BEARS will face the Americans once again in 2007-08. HERSHEY and Rochester will play one game at GIANT Center in 2007-08, and one game at Blue Cross Arena in western New York. HERSHEY will also face the first-year Lake Erie Monsters for two games next season, with one game in Cleveland and one game in central PA.
In all, HERSHEY will play 17 different teams in 2007-08. The following are the teams that the BEARS will compete against next season, with the number of games listed in each building:
East Division Opponents:
Albany River Rats (4/4), Binghamton Senators (4/4), Bridgeport Sound Tigers (4/4), Norfolk Admirals (5/5), Philadelphia Phantoms (6/6) and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (5/5).
Atlantic Division Opponents:
Hartford Wolf Pack (1/1), Lowell Devils (1/1), Manchester Monarchs (1/1), Portland Pirates (1/1), Springfield Falcons (1/1) and Worcester Sharks (1/1)
North Division Opponents:
Hamilton Bulldogs (1/1), Lake Erie Monsters (1/1), Manitoba Moose (2/2), Rochester Americans (1/1) and Toronto Marlies (1/1)
The BEARS open the 2007 Calder Cup Finals at GIANT Center against Hamilton Friday, June 1 at 7:00 p.m. Game 2 of the series will be Saturday night against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. before the series shifts to Canada for Games 3, 4 and 5.
