The Tides respond with a high scoring inning of their own. They had three-run fifth inning, starting with a single with a single by Robert Neustrom and a walk by Rutschman. Tyler Nevin scored both of them on a double to deep to left field and brought them in to tie the game. Pat Valaika followed with an RBI single to score Nevin to put the Tides up, 5-4. This made Peralta the pitcher of record, giving him his eventual second consecutive win
