Admirals Sign Miles, release Notermann

Milwaukee, WI-Milwaukee Admirals Executive Vice-President/General Manager Phil Wittliff announced that the team has signed forward Jeff Miles and reassigned forward Jason Notermann to the Rockford IceHogs (UHL).

Miles comes to the Admirals from the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL. Miles posted 30 points (12g-18a) in 28 games for the Grizzlies this year. Last season the Pickering, ONT native split time between the Manchester Monarchs (AHL) and the Reading Royals (ECHL). He had six points (5g-1a) for Manchester in 28 contests and 19 goals and 19 assists in 37 games for the Royals.

Notermann had three points (2g-1a) and eight penalty minutes in seven games with Milwaukee. Prior to coming to the Admirals he registered 32 points on 13 goals and 19 assists for the IceHogs.

The Admirals are on the road for the remainder of 2005 as they travel to Chicago for a tilt with the Wolves on Thursday before making a stop in Omaha to battle the Ak-Sar-Ben Knights on Friday.
