
Admirals Make it Nine Wins in Nine Games at Scope

NORFOLK, VA - The Norfolk Admirals picked up their eighth and ninth consecutive victories at Scope on Friday and Saturday to establish a new franchise mark for consecutive home wins. On Friday night, Danny Richmond and Colin Fraser each had two goals as the Admirals defeated Binghamton 8-2. In a Saturday matinee re-match, Norfolk erased two two-goal deficits and Carl Corazzini registered a hat trick as the Admirals beat the Senators 5-4.
The Admirals next play on Tuesday and Wednesday at Scope with a pair of 7:15 contests against the Manchester Monarchs. Norfolk then takes a quick trip to Wilkes-Barre to play the Penguins on Friday night before returning to Scope to face another East Division rival, the Philadelphia Phantoms, at 7:15.
STANDINGS
At 12-2-1-1 (26 pts), the Admirals are in first place in the East Division. Wilkes-Barre (12-3-1-0, 25 pts) is second, Hershey (10-2-1-2, 23 pts) is third, Bridgeport (8-5-0-3, 19 pts) is fourth, Albany (8-8-1-0, 17 pts) is fifth, Philadelphia (7-9-1-0, 15 pts) is sixth and Binghamton (4-11-0-2, 10 pts) is seventh.

TEAM NOTEBOOK
- Norfolk set its franchise record for most consecutive home wins on Saturday with their ninth straight win at Scope this season. When also counting the Admirals' four victories at Norfolk Scope to close out the 2005-06 regular season, they have won 13 consecutive regular season contests on home ice. Last season, the Admirals did not get their ninth home win until their 21st home game.
- Martin St. Pierre tied the Norfolk scoring streak record on Saturday by registering a point in his tenth consecutive game (also held by Mark Cullen in the 05-06 season and Mike Peluso in the 02-03 season). St. Pierre also has assists in each of those ten games, extending the new franchise record over the previous mark of six. During the streak, St. Pierre has three goals and 15 assists.

- Brandon Bochenski tied the club record for assists in a game with four helpers on Saturday (also held by Martin St. Pierre in the 05-06 season and Marty Wilford in the 03-04 season). Bochenski also had three assists on Friday night vs. Binghamton.
TRANSACTIONS
- On Tuesday, the Blackhawks recalled defenseman James Wisniewski from the Admirals and re-assigned goaltender Sebastien Caron to Norfolk. The Admirals also released goaltender Mike Ayers from a PTO.
