Rome Named Pirates/WJAB Player of the Week
Defenseman Aaron Rome has five points in his last two games
Today Pirates defenseman Aaron Rome was named the Pirates/WJAB Player of the Week. This is the first time this season Rome has earned the honor. Rome has recorded a point on each of the Pirates last five goals (1 goal, 4 assists).
Next game: Wednesday, November 22nd @ Springfield 7:05 p.m. Fans can watch the game LIVE on the internet courtesy of B2 Networks at www.portlandpirates.com or listen to the U.S. Cellular Pirates/WJAB Radio Network 1440 AM, 95.5 FM, WTME 780 AM, CNN 1240 AM and WKTQ 1450 AM. Fans can also listen to the game for free on the internet at www.cnn1240.com.
Next home game: Saturday, November 18, 2006 vs. Providence 7:05 p.m. Fans will receive ice scrapers courtesy of Haley's Tire. Fans are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy to the game to help support the TOYS FOR TOTS campaign. The toys will later be donated by the Marines to local children. Plus, on Saturday night, entertainment will be provided by Mad Science of Maine and New Hampshire! Fans can also play NAPA Chuck-A-Puck at every Pirates home game, to buy your pucks, visit the tables located behind K and Q. Saturday's pot will be $1,000.

Meet the Pirates at Shaw's Supermarkets
Pirates players will be appearing at Shaw's Supermarkets in Westbrook (31 Main Street) and Falmouth (251 U.S. Route 1) from 5pm-6pm as part of the Shaw's Spirit of Giving Food Drive. Fans will have the opportunity to get autographs from the players, enter to win Pirates tickets and other great prizes. Anyone who purchases a pre-packaged bag of food at the store to donate to the Spirit of Giving Food Drive campaign will get a free pair of Pirates tickets.
