BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - J.P. Lamoureux made 34 saves to backstop the Alaska Aces to a 5-2 win over the Bakersfield Condors before 5,857 fans at Rabobank Arena Friday night.

The Condors (13-22-5, 31pts) came out flying, taking an early lead in shots, but Lamoureux stood his ground and enabled his club to take the lead. F Alexandre Imbeault staked Alaska (24-14-2, 50pts) to the 1-0 lead at 4:43. Bakersfield rebounded, however, to tie it up. RW Mike Wirll returned from four games on the injured reserve to pot his ninth of the season at 17:19 to make it 1-1.

Alaska pushed ahead by two in the middle frame, with F Luke Erickson (at 7:09) and LW Scott Burt (at 13:44) both lighting the lamp to put the Aces up, 3-1. The Condors pulled back within one at 14:02 when C Dave Bonk notched his 12th of the season, on the power play to make it 3-2 after two. Shots were 26-26, with both Lamoureux and Condors G Dave McKee keeping the game close.

In the early seconds of the third frame, the Aces put the game out of reach. C Vladimir Novak scored on a redirection just 17 seconds in to give Alaska the 4-2 lead, and a late goal in the final minutes by RW Cam Keith accounted for the 5-2 final. Lamoureux finished with 34 saves, while McKee suffered the loss, stopping 33 shots for Bakersfield. The season series with Alaska is now tied up at three wins apiece.

Notes from the Nest: On Saturday, the Condors host the Ontario Reign for Anaheim Ducks-style Jersey Raffle & Auction. The Condors and Reign will both wear jerseys paying tribute to their NHL Affiliates (for the Reign, it's the LA Kings), and the Condors will auction them off after the game to raise proceeds for the Boys & Girls Club of Kern County. Also, everyone in attendance will have the chance to win five of the game-worn jerseys, raffled off at the game. The night is sponsored by Bright House Networks, 98.5 The Fox and American Business Machines, and has a special 7:30 p.m. start time.

On Sunday, the home-and-home shifts to Ontario for a 5 p.m. start. All Condors games, home and away, can be heard on ESPN Radio 1230 and online at bakersfieldcondors.com.

Get Tickets: Individual game tickets may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena Box Office, which is open from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday with extended hours on game days.
