Bombers Fall Behind Early, Lose At Cincinnati 7-1

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Dayton Bombers gave up a goal just 19 seconds into the game, setting the tone for a 7-1 loss at Cincinnati Friday night.

The Cyclones' Ben Gordon got his sixth goal of the game at :19 of the first. Three power play goals followed by T.J. McElroy (at 6:12 and 7:18) and Jimmy Kilpatrick (8:52) to make it 4-0. The Bombers' only goal came at 19:19 of the period by Dominic D'Amour from Dan Riedel and Brock Wilson.

Cincinnati scored three second period goals by Ben McLeod (4:18), Justin Johnson (9:45) and Ian McKenzie (14:19), the latter two unassisted.

Goalie Tyler Plante takes the loss getting just nine saves in fourteen opportunities. He was replaced early in the second period by Paul Drew who stopped 13 of 15 the rest of the way.

The same two teams go at it again Saturday night at U.S. Bank Arena. Face-off is 7:30 p.m. and can be heard on the B2 Networks beginning at 7:15 p.m.
