
Grizzlies Fall to Idaho In Overtime, 6-5

West Valley City, Utah - The Idaho Steelheads defeated the Utah Grizzlies (15-14-5-4) 6-5 in overtime Friday night at the E-Center. The Grizzlies have now gone past regulation to collect at least a point in nine of their last 14 games.
Utah trailed 2-0 after one period before rallying back with a three-goal second period with Ryan Kinasewich, Tom May and Tim Verbeek all scoring to make the game 3-3. Idaho made it 4-3 going to the third period with a shorthanded goal with 4:21 left in the second.
In the third, Utah battled back to tie and eventually took a 5-4 lead with Rob Hennigar scoring 3:29 into the period and Jordan Hart, on the power-play, adding his first goal of the year at 7:36.
Four Utah players had multiple-point games with Kinasewich (one goal, one assist), Evan Kotsopoulos (three assists), Rob Hennigar (one goal, one assist) and Tim Verbeek (one goal, one assist) all having at least two points.
Idaho tied it with 7:22 left in regulation to force overtime before Mark Bomersback got the game-winner 28 seconds into the extra period.
Utah outshot Idaho 35-28 in the game as Mike Mole made his 34th start in 38 games for the Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies return to action Saturday at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday at 5:05 p.m. continuing their three-game-in-three-night set.
