
Reign shuffle roster; Rheault back in lineup

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL Los Angeles Kings and the AHL Manchester Monarchs, announced today that right wing Jon Rheault has been returned to the Reign after a call-up to the Manchester Monarchs on December 12, 2008. In addition, the Reign announced that center Dusty Collins has been loaned to the Manitoba Moose and defenseman Ryan Card has been traded to the Johnstown Chiefs for future considerations.
Rheault, 22, joins the Reign after appearing in his second stint this season with the Manchester Monarchs. While with the Monarchs, Rheault recorded two goals, three assists (5 points) and four penalty minutes, in 24 appearances with the club. He joined the Reign in early November, in a 16-game stretch with the team, where he tallied 14 points (5g, 9a) and 19 penalty minutes, ranking fourth amongst his teammates in scoring at the time. He recorded a five-game point streak from November 5-21; his best a four-point game, registering one goal and three assists.
The Philadelphia Flyers selected the Deering, New Hampshire, native in the fifth round (#145 overall) at the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Rheault will travel with the Reign to Bakersfield as they take on the Condors Saturday, January 24, at Rabobank Arena at 7:30 p.m.
Collins, 23, began the season with the Reign, skating in 24 games with the club. While with the team he registered six goals, assisted on eight others (14 points) and accumulated 34 penalty minutes. At the time of his call-up to the Monarchs in Decembers, Collins ranked fifth amongst the Reign in scoring, and had registered four multi-point games. In his 16 appearances with Manchester, Collins tallied six points (4g, 2a), including a goal in his first appearance with the club. Collins played his last match-up with the Monarchs on January 17, and will meet up with the Moose for their game Friday evening against the Rochester Americans at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York.
Card, 24, played his first professional game with the Reign on January 7, and appeared in four games with the club this season, tallying two penalty minutes. He will join the Chiefs as they gear up for a set of back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday.
