Steelheads Acquire Josh Avery from the Brantford Bulldogs

October 2, 2025 - BRAMPTON, ON - The Brampton Steelheads announced today that the team has completed a trade with the Brantford Bulldogs acquiring forward Josh Avery in exchange for a 3rd and 5th-round pick in the 2029 OHL Priority Selection to Brantford. Josh Avery, a native of Cavan, Ontario, is in his third OHL season. Sheldon Cassimy Resigns as Honey Badgers Head Coach

September 30, 2025 - The Brampton Honey Badgers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced Tuesday that Sheldon Cassimy has resigned as head coach after two seasons, and six total seasons with the team. Cassimy has played an integral part in the evolution and growth of the Honey Badgers organization since joining the coaching staff in 2020. Steelheads Forward Gabriel Chiarot Signs Entry-Level Contract with Vancouver Canucks

September 23, 2025 - BRAMPTON, ON - The Vancouver Canucks announced yesterday that they have signed forward Gabriel Chiarot to a three-year entry-level contract. Brampton Steelheads to Host Exhibition Game in Orangeville

August 14, 2025 - BRAMPTON, ON - The Brampton Steelheads have announced further details for their upcoming exhibition games. Over the Labour Day weekend, the team will play back-to-back games against the Guelph Storm. On Friday August 29 at 7:00 PM, the Trout will play host to the Storm at the CAA Centre.
