Carlsson Buries Buzzer-Beater in Win over Reign
December 31, 2025 - ONTARIO, Calif. - Lucas Carlsson scored with one second remaining in regulation as the San Jose Barracuda (18-10-1-1) edged the Ontario Reign (18-10-1-1), 5-4, on Wednesday night at Toyota Arena.
Ontario opened the scoring midway through the first period when Cole Guttman (7) converted on the power play at 10:57 to give the Reign a 1-0 lead.

Earthquakes Sign Midfielder Beau Leroux to New Contract
December 29, 2025 - SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes announced today they have signed midfielder Beau Leroux to a new contract through June 2028 with a club option for June 2029.
"We're pleased to sign Beau Leroux to a new contract," said Earthquakes Sporting Director and Head Coach Bruce Arena. "Beau has a bright future in this league. We look forward to seeing him continue to grow and contribute to the team in 2026."

Barracuda Blanked by Reign, 3-0
December 27, 2025 - SAN JOSE, Calif. - Isaiah Saville stopped all 32 shots he faced as the Ontario Reign (17-9-1-1) blanked the San Jose Barracuda (17-10-1-1), 3-0, on Saturday night at Tech CU Arena.
Despite generating multiple chances, the Barracuda failed to open the scoring, and at 16:17, Aatu Jämsen (5) drew first blood to give the Reign the game's first lead.
The second period was scoreless, with the Barracuda outshooting the Reign 13-7.
