Wolf Pack Release Forward Matthew Ford from PTO

HARTFORD, March 10, 2009: Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the team has released forward Matthew Ford from his Professional Tryout (PTO) agreement.

Ford, a rookie out of the University of Wisconsin, has skated in 25 games this year with the Wolf Pack, scoring one goal and adding two assists for three points and registering 10 penalty minutes. In 21 games with the Wolf Pack's ECHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers, Ford has totaled 16 goals and 15 assists for 31 points, along with 25 PIM.

The Wolf Pack return to action this Friday night, March 13, as they travel to Worcester to take on the Sharks in a 7:05 game (96.5 HD2, www.hartfordwolfpack.com, www.wtic.com, www.ahllive.com). The Pack's next home action is this Saturday night, March 14, a GEICO Connecticut Cup tussle with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (7:00).
