Caputi, D'Aversa Return To Penguins

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned forward Luca Caputi and defenseman Jon D'Aversa from the Wheeling Nailers to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced on Monday.

Caputi, 20, has recorded 40 points (15+25) in 54 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season. He made his NHL debut on February 3 at Montreal, and recorded one goal in five games with Pittsburgh between February 3 and February 11.

In three games with Wheeling, Caputi recorded three points (2+1) and a minus-1 rating.

He was drafted by Pittsburgh in the fourth round (111th overall) in the 2007 NHL Draft.

D'Aversa, 23, has recorded 22 points (1+21) in 55 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season. In parts of two seasons with the Penguins, he has recorded 28 points (5+23) in 82 games.

He recorded four points (1+3) in three games with Wheeling.

D'Aversa was signed by Pittsburgh as a free agent on March 25, 2007.
